Classifying Materials
All the substances you know can be sorted into groups. Solid, liquid and gas are the 3 states of matter.Each state has different properties. These different properties are due to the way in which the particles are arranged. Some substances exist naturally in all three states - solid, liquid, and gas.

- All substances are made of tiny particles called atoms.
- Bonding
- This idea is the basis of chemical bonding. The word bond is used to describe the forces that hold atoms, molecules, and ions together.
