- Diver
- Divers work underwater and do a variety of tasks such as construction work, rescuing property from wrecked ships, commercial seafood gathering, photography, exploration and police work, and dive instructing. They may work close to shore (inshore), out at sea (offshore), or in lakes or rivers.

- Pool Supervisor/Lifeguard
- Pool supervisors are responsible for the safety of people at swimming pools and other aquatic facilities, while lifeguards patrol beaches.

- Professional sports coaches work with individuals and teams to help them increase their sporting skills, abilities and knowledge.

- Professional sportspeople take part in competitive national and international sporting events such as rugby, tennis, rugby league, cricket and golf.

- Ski field patrollers provide a safe environment for skiers, snowboarders and other snowsport area users by ensuring conditions are safe, and educating visitors about mountain safety. They also attend accidents and administer first aid.
- Snowsport Instructor
- Ski/snowboard instructors teach people how to ski or snowboard and improve their technique.

- Sports officials enforce rules during sporting events or judge the performance of those taking part.
