Hair, Beauty and Personal Services Careers

Hair, beauty and personal care jobs may involve; hairdressing and barbering, giving people beauty treatments and services, massage, doing make-up for individuals and the film and television industry and doing body art.
Beautician
Beauticians provide various forms of beauty treatment to customers.
Beauty Therapist
Beauty therapists provide facial and body care treatments including massage and electrolysis (the application of an electric current to hair-roots).
Body Artist
Body artists use sterilised skin piercing equipment and ink or jewellery to decorate the skin.
Hairdresser/Barber
Hairdressers/barbers cut, colour, style and care for clients' hair and scalp. Barbers also shave and trim hair, moustaches and beards.
Make-up Artist
Make-up artists apply make-up to people to enhance or alter their appearance.
Massage Therapist
Massage therapists manipulate the soft tissue of people's bodies to treat a variety of ailments, and to help people relax.
Nail Technician
Nail technicians treat clients' nails and may apply artificial nails.
